Recommendations

Weather and attire: In June, Toronto experiences pleasant temperatures, with average highs around 22°C (72°F) and lows of 10°C (50°F). However, it’s advisable to bring a light jacket for cooler evenings and an umbrella or raincoat, as there’s a chance of rain during this month.

Personal safety: Toronto is generally a safe city for visitors. Nonetheless, it’s important to take usual precautions: keep your belongings close in crowded areas and avoid walking alone in poorly lit areas at night.

Convention centre services: The Metro Toronto Convention Centre offers guest services, including information on local attractions and lost & found. These services are located at street level in both the North and South Buildings.

Public transportation: The convention centre is conveniently located near Union Station, facilitating access via public transportation. Consider using the subway or buses to navigate the city efficiently.

Areas to stay:

Proximity to the CN Tower: The Metro Toronto Convention Centre is located near the iconic CN Tower, one of the tallest structures in the world at 553 meters. From its observation deck, you can enjoy panoramic views of the city and its surroundings. Additionally, the CN Tower offers unique experiences like the EdgeWalk, an outdoor walk around the tower’s edge.

Access to Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada: Just steps away from the convention centre is Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada, home to over 20,000 aquatic animals. This aquarium offers interactive exhibits and underwater tunnels that provide an immersive marine experience.

Close to Rogers Centre: Also nearby is the Rogers Centre, a multi-purpose stadium famous for its retractable roof. It’s home to the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team and hosts various events and concerts throughout the year. If your visit coincides with a game or show, it could be an excellent opportunity to experience Toronto’s sports and cultural scene.
