L’Hospitalet de Llobregat (near Fira Gran Vía):

Advantages: This is the closest area to Fira Gran Vía, just a few minutes away by foot or public transportation. As a business area, it offers numerous modern hotels catering to business travelers, such as the Hotel SB Plaza Europa or the Renaissance Barcelona Fira Hotel. Recommendation: If your priority is proximity to the fair and avoiding long commutes, this is the ideal option.

Plaça Espanya / Sants-Montjuïc:

Advantages: It is well-connected to Fira Gran Vía via the metro’s Line 9 (direct from Plaça Espanya). Plaça Espanya is also a major transportation hub with connections to other parts of Barcelona and the airport. Recommended hotels include the Hotel Catalonia Barcelona Plaza and the B-Hotel. Recommendation: This area is perfect if you want to be close to the fair but also enjoy more tourist and leisure options in Barcelona, as it’s only a 10-15 minute metro ride from the Fira.

Eixample:

Advantages: One of Barcelona’s most iconic and central areas. Although it is a bit farther from Fira Gran Vía (about 25-30 minutes by metro), it’s perfect if you want to explore the city during your visit. Public transportation is efficient, with direct metro lines. Recommendation: Hotels like Hotel Omm or the Majestic Hotel & Spa offer a more central experience with access to restaurants, shops, and tourist spots such as the Sagrada Familia.

El Poblenou:

Advantages: A rising area with many accommodation options and easy access to Fira Gran Vía. It is known for its modern vibe and proximity to the beaches. Recommendation: It’s ideal if you prefer a more relaxed and modern atmosphere. It’s also well-connected to the Fira via the metro (Line 9).

El Prat de Llobregat:

Advantages: If you prefer to stay near Barcelona-El Prat airport and Fira Gran Vía, this is a convenient option. It has good connectivity to the fair via the metro (Line 9). Recommendation: This is a very practical option if you want convenience and quick travel between the airport and the Fira.
